The Problem
There is a large barrel, partly filled with water. To some it is less than half full, to others more. How can you prove, without any measuring device, if it is more or less than exactly half full?
Think about it. Then click here for the solution.
The solution:
All you need to do is tilt the barrel. If the edge of the surface of the water touches the lip of the barrel at the same time it touches the edge of the bottom of the barrel, then it must be half full.
The Moral
There are often various methods used to "test the water". Whether something is half empty or half full can seem to be a matter of opinion. However, opinion does not forward a cause. Only when you can verify results can you move ahead and act on the findings with confidence. Thinking aims to provide clients with concrete results that e-businesses can use.
